Port Charlotte is an unincorporated community located on the northern shores of Charlotte Harbor, between the Myakka and Peace Rivers in Southwest Florida.
Port Charlotte is located in Charlotte County, between Punta Gorda and North Port, and is bisected by Tamiami Trail (US 41).
Port Charlotte has been named to numerous "Best Places to Retire" lists including Forbes and US News & World Report. Port Charlotte is also home to the Charlotte Stone Crabs, a Class High-A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays. The Charlotte Stone Crabs play at the Charlotte Sports Park.
